About this event
The Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site in Shelby Township opens its gates for its fall open house and car show. The site, owned by the nonprofit Packard Motor Car Foundation, works to preserve the legacy of the Packard Motor Car Company by restoring the old proving grounds and teaching new generations about America's automotive history. Its current restoration project is the World War II Tank Test Center.
Our take: The site's Historical Speaker Series talk, Gems from the Vault: Stories from the Packard Archives, is also on the calendar that afternoon from 1 to 2 p.m.
