About this event

The Haunted Castle and Black Forest in Fort Wayne has welcomed visitors since 1980, run entirely by St. Vincent Scouts Troop 2, Venture Crew 2802 and other local Scouts. One night covers two walks: an indoor castle of about 30 minutes with ghosts, goblins, drop coffins and slides, then an outdoor Black Forest trail of about 30 to 45 minutes with clowns, chainsaws, caves and ghosts. Parking and drop-off are at St. Vincent Catholic School on East Wallen Road, not at the Auburn Road attraction entrance. A Lights On castle tour and a Safe Trick or Treat run on a daytime date. Both haunts use strobes, and sheriff's deputies, paramedics and security are on site each operating night.

Our take: Park at the Wallen Road school lot, do the castle first, and leave bags in the car because nothing can be stored past security.

Parking

Guest parking and drop-off at St. Vincent Catholic School, 1720 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825. No parking or drop-off at 8965 Auburn Road. Bags, backpacks and purses are not allowed past security. Cash and major credit cards accepted.

Good to know
