About this event
Stroll on State is Rockford's one-day kickoff to the holidays, turning downtown into a winter wonderland. Produced by GoRockford, it features a parade with larger-than-life balloons, a tree lighting, fireworks and a drone show over the city, plus Santa visits, holiday photo spots and more than 20 attractions. Local shops and seasonal food round out the day.
Our take: Stay until after dark; the tree lighting, fireworks and drone show close out the day.
