Iowa City Book Festival

The Iowa City Book Festival, presented by the Iowa City UNESCO City of Literature, spends a week bringing writers from Iowa and around the world to readings and conversations across town. Programs take place at Prairie Lights Books, the Iowa City Public Library, the Iowa Writers' Workshop's Frank Conroy Reading Room and Daydreams Comics. Presenters include novelist Bonnie Jo Campbell, Colombian author Pilar Quintana, Spanish playwright Yaiza Berrocal Guevara, poet Mark Leidner and travel writer Lori Erickson. Most City of Literature events are free, and a printable program lists every session.
