About this event
Iowa City Farmers Market is an open-air market managed by the Iowa City Parks and Recreation Department, set in the Chauncey Swan parking ramp, Chauncey Swan Park, and on the 400 block of East Washington Street in front of City Hall. It aims to serve a wide range of shoppers with fresh, locally produced products. Payment can be cash, credit or debit, EBT/SNAP, or Double Up Food Bucks, and EBT tokens are sold at the Information Table at the north entrance of the ramp. The season closes with Halloween at the Market.
Our take: Park in the upper levels of the Chauncey Swan ramp and buy EBT tokens at the north-entrance table if you use SNAP.
Parking
During market hours, parking in the upper levels of the Chauncey Swan Parking Ramp and the lot behind the Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center. Animals not allowed inside the first level of the ramp; pets allowed in the park and on Washington Street.
