About this event
Arrowhead Park Chili Fest is a fall evening hosted by Pottawattamie Conservation at its Arrowhead Park near Neola, where neighbors bring roasters and crockpots of homemade chili to share at Breezy Lodge. Between bowls there are games, pumpkin painting and hayrack rides, and kids can trick-or-treat, so costumes are encouraged. Donations collected at the fest help pay for low-cost public programs across the county parks, and it goes on rain or shine, so dress for the weather.
Our take: Put the kids in costume and arrive near the start, since hayrack trick-or-treating wraps up about an hour before the chili fest ends.
Parking
A per-vehicle park entry fee or a Pottawattamie Conservation membership is required to enter Arrowhead Park.
