About this event
The Kamuela Farmers Market meets on Saturdays at the historic Pukalani Stables in Waimea on Hawai'i Island. Its vendor list has ranged from locally grown produce, trees, plants and cut flowers to mochi, coffee and tea, jams, fresh bread, hand-crafted wood items, soaps, reef-safe sunscreen, fine art and jewelry. Part of the vendor fees goes to the Paniolo Preservation Society, which works to preserve Hawai'i's paniolo (cowboy) heritage. It is a separate operation from the Wednesday Waimea Midweek market held at the same stables.
Our take: Pair the market with the Paniolo Heritage Museum at the stables, which has opened with free admission on market Saturdays.
