About this event
Virginia Highland Mardi Gras Fest brings French Quarter flair to Atlanta, opening with a free parade through the heart of the neighborhood as floats, marching bands, dancers and neighborhood krewes take to the streets in bold costumes. The party keeps rolling afterward in the parking lot behind Fontaine's Oyster House, which turns into a festive fête with live music, NOLA-themed eats, face painting and plenty of beads, beats and brews.
Our take: Make a day of it: start with brunch, second-line through the district's shops, and finish with dinner or drinks at one of its restaurants and bars.
