About this event

The Stone Mountain Highland Games and Scottish Festival brings Scotland to Georgia. Friday events are at the Hilton Northeast Atlanta host hotel; Saturday and Sunday move to the meadows and tree-lined paths of Stone Mountain Park at 1000 Robert E. Lee Boulevard. Pipe bands, Scottish athletics, piping and drumming, Highland dance, country dancing, and fiddling share the grounds with clan tents, Celtic performers, and vendors selling goods imported from the British Isles. Scottish food and drink are part of the gathering. A tartan is welcome, but not required. A tartan taxi serves guests with limited mobility, and shuttles run from outer lots.

Our take: Use the outer-lot shuttle and do not miss the last bus, which leaves the games area at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday.

Parking

Shuttles from outer lots start at 10 a.m.; last shuttle leaves the games at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday. No pets. Rain or shine.
