HarvestFest and Scarecrows In The Square

HarvestFest and Scarecrows In The Square fills Historic Marietta Square with a craft market, city vehicles, and Halloween contests. The HarvestFest Market draws handmade arts and crafts from exhibitors across the southern states, including many local vendors. Touch-A-Truck lines up City of Marietta fire trucks, police cars, tractors, and tow trucks. Pie Bar on the Square supplies the pie eating contest, split into Mini Munchers ages 6 to 12 and Competitive Chompers 13 and up. Halloween Happenings is the kids festival for ages 12 and younger, with carnival games, inflatables from FunFare, and a costume contest at Glover Park Stage. Scarecrows from schools, clubs, businesses, and nonprofits stand for Best In Show and category prizes, and part of the square turns into a college football watch party.

Our take: If a child is entering the costume contest, get a contestant number at the stage before the afternoon lineup.
