About this event
Georgia's state-sponsored fair is young by fair standards. It opened in Perry in 1990, after state lawmakers pushed for a better statewide place for young farmers to show their livestock. That youth focus still shapes it, with 4-H and FFA members competing in livestock shows and youth educational exhibits. Reithoffer has run the Midway since the very first fair, and the Fair Food Fight has vendors competing with new dishes for the judges' picks. The fairgrounds sit right along I-75, so it's an easy stop if you're driving through middle Georgia.
Parking
Parking is free at the North, East and West gate lots, with handicap parking at all three.
Good to know
Pets are not allowed during the fair. Outside food, drinks and coolers are not permitted. Bags must be clear and 12 x 6 x 12 in. or smaller (wallet-size bags, diaper bags and medical exceptions apply); all bags are inspected.
