PumpkinFest Havana

PumpkinFest bills itself as Havana's largest and most beloved family festival, stretching along Main Street and its side avenues in downtown Havana, Florida. Havana Main Street presents the day, which fills Gadsden County with autumn color, live music, and small-town charm. More than 100 arts and crafts vendors and more than 20 food and beverage vendors line the blocks, joined by main stage entertainment, costume contests, a pumpkin pie eating contest, and hands-on pumpkin painting for kids. Autumn-inspired food and drink sit beside seasonal gifts and specialty items. Historic Main Street's antique shops and boutiques stay part of the draw.

Our take: Walk the side avenues before the pie-eating contest and kids' painting stations fill, then duck into a Main Street cafe if the blocks get packed.
