About this event
Every Sunday in season, Nassau Valley Vineyards, west of Lewes, hosts a farmers market with more than 20 vendors. Expect local produce, honey, jams, arts and crafts, food from on-site vendors and live music each week from area performers. The winery bills itself as Delaware's first farm winery, growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc on site, and it runs a sangria bar made with its own wines during the market.
Our take: Bring a chair or borrow one of theirs, order a sangria and settle in with lunch from an on-site vendor while the band plays.
Good to know
Sundays, noon–3 p.m. Dogs are not allowed in the market area or winery buildings but may stay leashed outside and at the picnic tables.
