About this event
The Delmarva Folk Festival, run by the Delaware Friends of Folk, brings blues, bluegrass, world music, folk and Americana to Clayton. Friday opens with the Prine Time Pick-in hour, where musicians of all levels share Prine tunes, originals and Prine-inspired songs, followed by the Folk Hero Contest, with six competing artists and audience voting. Saturday starts with a songwriting workshop and runs a full day of music, a second workshop, the DooDah Parade and the Folk Fashion Boogie, with late-night campfire jams both nights. The Poet Tree, live painters, craft vendors and food trucks round out the grounds, and camping is available.
Our take: Delfolk runs a coffee stand and a Dogfish-sponsored beer tent for those 21 and over, and coolers are permitted if you'd rather pack a picnic.
