About this event
Día de los Muertos at Hollywood Forever fills the historic cemetery, resting place of Judy Garland, Cecil B. DeMille, Rudolph Valentino and Johnny and Dee Dee Ramone, with a daylong celebration of the Day of the Dead. The festival includes an altars exhibition with cash prizes, a ceremonial procession, Aztec dancers and folklórico, a children's plaza, an art exhibition in the cathedral, arts and crafts and culinary vendors, and a costume contest. The music lineup features DannyLux, Trish Toledo, Tropa Magica, Los Shadows and several DJs.
Our take: Pick an early entry window if you want a long day, since tickets let you stay past your window.
Parking
Ticketed through TicketWeb, with three entry windows (noon–4, 4–7 and 7–11 p.m.); guests can stay past their window. No outside food or drink and no pets. Hollywood Forever Cemetery, 6000 Santa Monica Blvd.
