About this event

Tucson Meet Yourself, produced by the Southwest Folklife Alliance, brings the food, music, dance and craft of Southern Arizona's cultures to Jácome Plaza and the surrounding blocks of downtown Tucson. The festival is organized into ten villages, each a micro-festival, with live music and dance on multiple stages, folk artists demonstrating their craft, the Culture Kitchen, culture pavilions and the Festival Store. Dozens of food vendors and home cooks serve dishes ranging from Peruvian and Puerto Rican to Tohono O'odham, Ukrainian and Palestinian. The Smithsonian's Of the People Village celebrates America's 250th with Tucson's makers, workers and storytellers.

Our take: Pick up a Taste of the Festival Passport for five exclusive small plates from a curated set of vendors; it's sold while supplies last.

Parking

Sun Tran and Sun Link rides are fare-free all festival weekend, and the Church and Congress streetcar stop is closest. Paid parking is available in downtown garages, including the Main Library Garage, and metered street parking is free on Sunday.

Good to know

Hours are Friday and Saturday 11 a.m.–10 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.–6 p.m., with no performances between 2 and 5 p.m. Friday. Admission is free; donations are welcome.
