About this event
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Milwaukee gathers walkers at the Summerfest South Gate on Harbor Drive. The American Cancer Society event raises money for breast cancer research and for programs such as free 24-hour cancer information, rides to treatment and free lodging for patients who must travel far from home. Teams, companies and individual walkers fundraise ahead of the walk.
Our take: Be there for the survivor and thriver photo at 9:45 a.m., just before the 10 a.m. opening ceremony.
Good to know
Gates and activities open 8 a.m.; opening ceremony 10 a.m. at Summerfest South Gate, 200 N Harbor Dr. The walk is held rain or shine.
