About this event
Cedar Livestock & Heritage Festival in Cedar City honors Iron County's agricultural history, from crop harvest to the trailing of livestock off high mountain ranges to the desert for winter. On the grounds: a sheep parade, antique tractor and draft horse pulls, cowboy poetry and music, a ranch rodeo, a Dutch oven contest, an art and photography contest, a vintage car display, and a quilt show. Children get a junior ranch rodeo and a kid's tractor pull, plus a sheep camp display. A wagon train is also on the schedule.
Our take: Start with the sheep parade and the Dutch oven contest if you want the heritage side before the ranch rodeo.
