About this event
Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market operates in the LHUCA Plaza at 5th Street and Avenue J. Its mission is locally grown food and farm products for Lubbock and the surrounding area, support for small farms and micro-enterprises, and education about local products, while also drawing visitors downtown. The focus is regional produce, with a limited share of ready-to-eat items, value-added foods, and crafts from people who make their own work. Reselling is not allowed. At least half of the agricultural products on offer are grown in Texas, and a farmer must grow or raise at least 65 percent of what that stand sells. Read the origin and growing-practice label on each container before you buy.
Our take: Read the city, state, and growing-practice label on each container before you buy.
Parking
Leashed pets are allowed. No alcohol. No smoking within 50 feet of the selling area.
