Coastal Carolina Fair

Exchange Park in Ladson is home to the Coastal Carolina Fair, a stretch of rides, midway events, food, and entertainment that also opens competition space to the community. Contests include 4-H arena events, an adult fine art show, a creative arts show, a youth art show, a fiddle competition, a honey competition, a chili cookoff, and a King Arthur baking contest. Senior Day and daily entertainment sit alongside the midway. Support for the fair also flows back to Lowcountry organizations, students, and community groups.

Our take: If contests matter more than rides, aim for the fiddle contest, chili cookoff, honey competition, or one of the art shows.
