About this event
Day of the Dead Columbus is an educational, cultural and family festival hosted by Latino Arts for Humanity at Green Lawn Cemetery. Anyone can enter its Convocatoria a Ofrendas altar contest or its Catrina contest, each with three grand prizes. La Catrina, one of the most recognized symbols of Día de los Muertos, began as La Calavera Garbancera, a satirical figure, and the festival celebrates the tradition's view of death as a step to a new life.
