Critz Farms Fall Harvest Celebration

Critz Farms in Cazenovia hosts a month-long Fall Harvest Celebration built around apple picking, pumpkin picking, and a gigantic corn maze. Wagon rides run out to the orchard and pumpkin field, and the animal area holds more than 25 animals. The tap room serves handcrafted beer, hard cider, and wine, while Critz Cafe, the gift shop, and fresh sweet apple cider cover food and decorating supplies. Playgrounds, a cow train for kids, live music, and cider-making demonstrations round out the farm. Weekend visitors need a ticket and must arrive in their reserved slot, though leaving is not timed. On weekdays, picking, the tap room, and the gift shop need no ticket.

Our take: Come on a weekday if you mainly want apples or pumpkins, since a weekend ticket covers the whole farm and cannot be skipped for picking alone.
