About this event
Oktoberfest is the longest-running festival in Leake County. It began as a two-day arts and crafts fair in the Carthage Coliseum, where locals bought homemade jams and jellies, wooden signs, and other handmade goods. It has since become a family event in Carthage with live music, vendors of many kinds, kids activities, and a pet parade. The festival is held at McMillan Park, 515 Highway 16 East, and a pickleball tournament is part of the day.
Our take: Bring the pet if the parade is the draw, and still leave time for the craft tables.
