About this event
The Feaster Five, billed as the largest Thanksgiving Day road race in Massachusetts, is a family event with a 5-mile race, a 5K run/walk, and a kids fun run. Finishers take home a Table Talk apple pie while supplies last. Sidney's Rainbow Run, the kids race at Balmoral Park, has a 60-meter mini course, a 400-meter short course, and a 1K loop. The 5K and 5-mile start together in Shawsheen Square at Routes 28 and 133.
Our take: Use the two-day expo at the Andover/North Andover YMCA for your bib, then line up by expected pace in Shawsheen Square, since walkers do not get a separate start.
Good to know
Kids should arrive at 7:30 a.m. for a 7:45 a.m. start at the Balmoral Street track; enter at York Street. 5K and 5-mile start together at 8:30 a.m.
