About this event
The Farmer's Market at Seventh Square on North Seventh Street in West Monroe was started to give local growers a place to sell their crops. Beyond tomatoes, okra, watermelons and peas, it offers shelling services for peas and pecans, a community garden tended by master gardeners, and LSU AgCenter recipes and demonstrations. On Saturdays, Market on the Square adds produce and merchandise vendors, food trucks, entertainment and car shows.
Our take: Bring a sack of peas or pecans from home and use the market's shelling service while you shop.
