About this event
Boots on the Bayou sets up on the 6-acre front lawn of the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, less than 30 minutes from Baton Rouge, for two days and nights of live music, food, local artists and outdoor experiences. The festival lists ten artists on one stage and says it works with local vendors, food trucks, artists and merchants whenever possible. It's produced by local people and is back for a second year after being recognized in Best of Baton Rouge following its first. Fans are invited to park the RV and tailgate before the show.
