Rader Family Farms near Normal is a large Illinois agritainment farm whose fall season packs dozens of activities into paid admission. Families can pick apples and pumpkins, wander a 12-acre corn maze themed around the centennial of U.S. Route 66, visit the animal barn, and work through slides, blasters, and barnyard games. Dining spots like the Barnyard Grill and Harvest Brew keep the day fueled between attractions.
Our take: If the Route 66 maze is the priority, go midweek when the paths are easier to walk without weekend crowds.
