About this event
The Cumming Country Fair & Festival, organized by the City of Cumming at the Cumming Fairgrounds on Castleberry Road, features free attractions and shows, farm animals, local entertainment, a Native Indian and Heritage Village and carnival eats. Its midway is run by the James H. Drew Exposition, billed as one of the largest carnival midways in the United States, with games, rides and the Georgia Mountain Lift. Concerts are free with fair admission.
Our take: Weekday unlimited-ride specials are $25, compared with $30 on Fridays and Sundays and $35 on Saturdays.
Parking
From GA-400 take Exit 15 (Bald Ridge Marina Road), turn left onto Highway 20 East at the fifth light, then right on Castleberry Road; the fairgrounds are on the right.
Good to know
Monday–Thursday 4–10 p.m., Friday 4 p.m.–midnight, Saturday 10 a.m.–midnight, Sunday 12:30–9 p.m. Gate $10; children 10 and under free. Ride tickets $1.25 each, and every ride takes more than one. ATMs on the midway. No refunds.
