Brooksville Downtown Street Market Oktoberfest & Chili Cook-Off

Brooksville's downtown market takes an Oktoberfest and chili cook-off turn on Liberty Street and South Brooksville Avenue. The market is a small festival where Hernando County farmers, bakers, producers, and artisans meet shoppers who also walk the brick-and-mortar restaurants and shops. Stalls carry fresh produce, baked goods, seafood, cheese, and meat. Urban and rural communities meet here, and a meal in a downtown restaurant is part of the walk.

Our take: Eat the chili, then walk the downtown restaurants if you still want a sit-down meal.
