Skinny Raven Turkey Trot

Skinny Raven's Turkey Trot invites runners, walkers, joggers and hobblers onto an iconic course through downtown Anchorage, with an in-person 5K or a 2-mile option and virtual versions of both. Age-class winners get a fresh pie before everyone heads off to Thanksgiving dinner. Extra donations made through registration go directly to the Food Bank of Alaska, and Skinny Raven collects non-perishable food in red barrels in the weeks before the race, entering donors in a drawing for Icebug studded footwear.

Our take: Bring non-perishable food to bib pickup, where extra capacity is set aside to take donations right at the tables.
